A leading snack company based in Toronto is searching for a Training Specialist to oversee and enhance training for its Scarborough plant. In this role, you will develop training programs and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, project management experience, and demonstrate exceptional tech skills. You are a specialist in a process, workstream or area in Mondel\u00e9z International Digital Services, working to support impeccable service operations.
You will use your in-depth process and service knowledge in your area of expertise to ensure that service level agreements and obligations are met. As a co-owner of the development of standard operating procedures, you will drive standardization and simplification of processes. In addition, you will provide input for training materials, ensure that standard operating procedures and data protection activities comply with Mondel\u00e9z International policies and the law, analyze and report on exceptions and offer recommendations for process improvements, and lead the sustainable continuous improvement process for the team.
In this role you will create a capability building system for the Scarborough plant, with digitalization of training activities, and making sure that all necessary tools are available for all plant functions and pillars: skill assessment and certification process in place, will develop and document training programs, develop trainer identification, SMEs and certification process, and build training within the plant to support both self-directed learning and knowledge transfer processes.
Your responsibilities will include development and implementation of the plant orientation and temporary agency staff training, as well as training for plant’s engineering projects.
You will need to make capability improvement trackable by the managers and all colleagues on a daily basis with opportunities to adjust as required.
You will lead an E&T pillar at the plant, build all necessary work processes, and provide support to other pillars of the plant in order to irradicate losses due to skills, via utilizing NA E&T experience and CBAs, and building own best practices.
This position requires you to be fully responsible for maintenance and documenting all compliance training of the plant to be available and tracked on time and in full: HSE, Quality, HR, etc
You will support Front line leadership program (Ignite) for all on site FLLs – work in close collaboration with other E&T leaders and PLs to align, unify and simplify approaches to capability building within Canada MSC.
Other responsibilities, based on current and future business requirements.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Practical Knowledge of management of Training Systems and Methods at manufacturing sites – preferable experience of setting capability building system from 0.
Project Management – can set objectives and goals; break project down into steps; anticipate and adjust for roadblocks; measure performance against goals
Extremely tech-savy – able to set up digital training solutions for the plant, using available software and devices; able to create vivid, simple, customer-oriented and user-friendly trackers, presentation and training materials
Flexibility in working hours – we are 24/7 facility, and training and coaching is required for colleagues in all shifts. Working hours can vary and require presence on site during weekends (limited).
Dealing with Ambiguity – can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty; deals effectively with change and shifts gears appropriately, can multitask effectively
Interpersonal Savvy – be able to relate well to all kinds of people in organization; build and leverage relationships and diffuse high-tension situations effectively
Excellent Communication Skills (Written & Oral) – able to develop and cascade information through variety of training material and through in-person sessions to all level of the plant
Knowledge of Integrated Lean 6 Sigma is a big plus
