Early Steps is looking for F/T Early Childhood Educators
  • Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $52,000~$58,000/year (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Number of Positions: 2
  • Work Location: 4890 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC V5C 2K9
  • 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

  • Design and implement child-care programs that support and promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional and social development
  • Promote creative expression through art, music, dramatic play, storytelling, and physical activities
  • Lead age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, singing, crafts, and outings to local places of interest
  • Observe children’s behavior and development, identifying potential learning or behavioral concerns and reporting to parents or supervisors
  • Support children in developing healthy routines related to eating, dressing, and using the toilet
  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment that supports the overall well-being of children
  • Participate in staff meetings to share updates on children’s progress and address any concerns

Job requirements:

  • Experience: Experience is an asset
  • Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
  • Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
