Job description

Sentient HR provides staffing solutions to licensed childcare centres across Ontario. We’re committed to helping educators grow, develop professionally, and thrive in their roles.

As an ECA, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with childcare staff and the Supervisor at various centres located in Toronto (North York). Your role includes fostering a nurturing, safe environment for children from infant to school age, supporting daily activities, and maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

Working Conditions:
  • Light to moderate physical activity (lifting, bending, etc.)
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons.
Responsibilities:
  • Create a warm, inclusive learning environment that supports child development
  • Supervise children during both indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety
  • Keep classrooms and shared spaces clean and organized
  • Assist with meals and nap time in line with centre policies and Public Health standards
  • Actively participate in play-based and learning activities with children
  • Support staff and contribute to a collaborative, positive team environment
  • Follow all regulations and guidelines, including CCEYA, AQI, and HDLH
  • Participate in all mandatory company activities, trainings and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation within Toronto (North York).
