Reporting to the Associate Deputy Minister of Inuit Employment and Public Service Development (ADM), the Director, Sivumuaqatigiit (Director) is responsible for providing lifelong learning opportunities for Nunavut Inuit employees of the Government of Nunavut (GN) to contribute to effective career progression, enhanced professionalism, the promotion of Inuit values and a qualified representative government. The Director is also accountable to the ADM, for establishing a comprehensive strategy for increasing Inuit employment in accordance with the provisions of Article 23 of the Nunavut Agreement and for evaluating the effectiveness or the Government's Inuit employment efforts and eliminating systemic barriers to employment.
