We’re looking for a Director of Sales Engineering to lead and scale our global Sales Engineering organization. This role is central to aligning technical excellence with sales execution, ensuring that our partners and prospects experience best-in-class engagement that drives measurable business outcomes.

You’ll lead a talented team of Sales Engineers and Managers who serve as trusted advisors—partnering with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to deliver innovative solutions in security, automation, and data recovery. As a senior leader, you’ll set the vision, build the strategy, and elevate the impact of our Sales Engineering function worldwide.

Please note this role is hybrid, therefore attendance in the Ottawa Collaboration Hub is required.

What You\'ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop global Sales Engineering teams, including first- and second-line managers.
  • Drive technical sales strategy to support revenue goals, win rates, and pipeline velocity.
  • Provide executive-level support for key opportunities, customer escalations, and strategic accounts.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership on forecasting, pipeline management, and deal strategy.
  • Influence Product roadmaps by surfacing customer needs and market insights.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow top technical talent across international regions.
  • Foster collaboration with Partner Success and Growth Strategy to scale partner adoption and reduce churn.
  • Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and operational efficiency across the Sales Engineering function.

What You\'ll Bring

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Solutions Consulting at a SaaS or enterprise software company.
  • Proven track record managing large, diverse international teams and driving revenue impact.
  • Strong technical background in one or more areas: RMM, Security, Data Recovery, IT Admin, Networking, Database, or ITSM. Preference will be given to data recovery experience.
  • Strategic thinker with experience scaling global Sales Engineering organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s or technical certifications preferred).
  • Willingness to travel as needed and collaborate in-person in regional hubs.

Purple Perks

What do we offer you?

  • Medical, dental and vision – for employee, partner, and children!
  • Generous PTO and observed holidays
  • 2 Paid Volunteer Days per year
  • Pension Plan with company-contribution
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program
  • Discounted gym access at several local facilities
  • Fund-raising opportunities as part of our giving program
  • N-ablite Learning – custom learning experience as part of our investment in you
