As Director, Product (Data Technologies), you’ll be accountable for the product direction, delivery, and performance of FCC’s data technologies. As a collaborative team-player who builds on the ideas of others, you’ll lead the teams responsible for data engineering, platform administration, and technology management, owning business critical platforms end-to-end.
Your focus will be to ensure these platforms are secure, stable, reliable, performant, compliant, and easy to use, while continuously evolving them to support strategic objectives.
You’ll be part of the leadership team that drives FCC’s data and analytics strategy, leading a multidisciplinary product team that includes two managers, two product architects, and a product owner, and partnering closely with the Principal Enterprise Architect to shape and execute enterprise-wide technology direction. Using your expertise in data platforms, cloud technologies and analytics enablement, you’ll support continuous improvement, champion change and lead with the confidence required to create impact at scale.

Lead the development and maintenance of the data and analytics platform.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and use your influence to help a major organizational change succeed.
Engage with senior leaders in enterprise strategy discussions and with technical teams in hands-on product and delivery conversations.
Translate complex technology needs into clear, executable direction for the data and analytics ecosystem, using a strategic, enterprise-minded approach.
Use strategic decision-making to bring clarity to ambiguity, knowing when to make hard decisions, and how to prioritize the best outcome for the organization.
Act as a champion for engineers, fostering a healthy culture of continual improvement, and helping team members grow.
Remain calm under pressure to solve complex incidents and adapt to rapidly changing technology landscapes.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or business and at least eight years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
At least five years in a formal leadership position.
Significant track record of success using agile methodologies for technology lifecycle management.
Knowledge of agriculture and lending is an asset.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, data science or information technology, or other STEM-related degree.
Minimum 10 years of experience in a technology-related discipline.
Solid knowledge in data engineering and cloud computing.
Proven expertise in agile product development.
Demonstrated proficiency leading technical teams and projects.
Ability to bridge business strategy with implementation.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Project or product management.
Change management.
Experience with AWS technologies.
