What You’ll Be Doing
  • Be a welcomed member of the Aspira Management team and impact in the following ways: ensure resident’s needs are assessed; develop service plans of care and determine corresponding care fees and team member requirements as applicable
  • Monitor all resident incidents and direct team members regarding interventions to prevent recurrence as applicable
  • Monitor the quality indicators and evaluate nursing and related services to ensure quality of resident care (Falls, Behaviours, Infection Control, etc.)
  • Responsible for departmental recruitment, selection, orientation, development, scheduling and performance management of Guest Attendants, Unregulated Care Providers, and Registered Practical Nurses
  • Develop and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with hospital team members and our home and community care partners. Participate in marketing outreach such as presentations on wellness services and aging in place philosophy, and interview prospective residents conducting assessments to determine suitability for admission
  • Participate in the preparation of the department budget and administer the approved budget within established parameters
Who You Are
  • An exceptional manager with a demonstrated track record of delivering results and continuously improving performance
  • A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing and has a minimum three years’ experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
  • You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
  • Can demonstrate strong technology skills in Microsoft Office suite programs
