In accordance with the Trust/Research Academic Staff Agreement, this position has a comprehensive benefits package and an annual salary range of $92,312 to $126,931. This position has an initial appointment of 3 years.

Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

This position will be uniquely responsible with assessing specific needs, developing and implementing a qualitative/mixed research methods Training Program for the Department of Psychiatry. The Director of the Qualitative Methods and Training Program will assess the department’s faculty and trainee training needs, determine best course of action for development of a training program, confer with the department chair and key departmental leaders, work with Academic Department Manager to develop appropriate budgeting for necessary staff, services, and resources, and implement the training program as determined. It is anticipated that a training program will have three primary elements: didactic seminar, skills-training workshops, and 1:1/research team project-specific consultation. The goal will be to convey methodological knowledge, and train and provide project-specific skills and coaching to department faculty conducting qualitative and mixed-methods quality improvement and clinical research projects. The long-term goal is to increase the capacity of the department to conduct formative and evaluative qualitative and mixed methods research and clinical projects that both increase faculty/staff skills overall and, ultimately, optimize clinical care.
