Job Description

Director of Cyber Security Services provides strategic leadership and oversight for cyber services across regional operations, ensuring accountability (global vs local), service documentation, and defined quality and value standards. The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a regional cyber service model, to ensure enterprise security services are delivered with strong governance and managed security service provider (MSSP) support. The role also involves resolving critical issues through stakeholder collaboration, generating management information (MI), identifying automation opportunities, and leading governance forums.

What will you do?
  • Strategy & Oversight: Develop and maintain the regional cyber service delivery strategy, roadmap, and governance framework to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Governance & Compliance: Develop and maintain governance frameworks, including risk reporting, performance metrics, and regulatory adherence. Facilitate governance meetings to evaluate service effectiveness.

  • Service Delivery Management: Oversee incident response processes and SOC operations, ensuring alignment with global standards. Implement standardized service models across RBC regions

  • Automation: Support automation initiatives by defining clear plans and implementation pathways to enhance efficiency and scalability, while remaining compliant

  • Process & Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks through daily/weekly reporting and trend analysis

  • Service Catalog Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive service catalog, linking cyber services to core products and ensuring clarity in offerings.

  • Change Management: Design and enforce formal change control protocols for service/product modifications, ensuring structured and secure transitions.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders and senior leaders to achieve strategic objectives

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in cybersecurity strategy, governance, and service delivery at an enterprise level, with knowledge of cybersecurity tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls) and incident response methodologies, and SOC operations

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute roadmaps that align cyber services with business objectives

  • Skill in defining, tracking, and reporting key metrics for cyber services, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement

  • Proven expertise in vendor management, SLA enforcement, and governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 2700)

  • Skilled in defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs/SLAs for cyber services (e.g., incident response times, vulnerability remediation rates)

  • Experience identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains

  • Proficiency in formal change control protocols (e.g., CAB processes) and risk assessment methodologies

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical leadership

  • Strong data driven decision making skills required for service performance evaluation

Nice to have:
  • Certifications in CISSP, CISM, or CRISC

  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks and best practices for service delivery, incident management, and problem management
