Job Summary

The Account Manager – Major Accounts will be primarily responsible to act as a liaison between McKesson Technology Solutions’ major clients (national pharmacy chains, hospitals) and internal departments to convey information, ensure understanding, and make certain everything gets done in an accurate, timely manner. This role will require establishing and maintaining business relationships with both new and existing customers. The individual will take ownership of day-to-day relationships with some of McKesson’s largest accounts. All duties must be performed consistent with McKesson's I2CARE Shared Principles.

Responsibilities

  • Foster positive relationships with named major accounts
  • Serve as the main point of contact in all day-to-day matters related to client concerns and needs
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
  • Assist in contract negotiations as necessary
  • Provide progress reports to clients and McKesson management
  • Participate in preparation for client business reviews
  • Handle inquiries and requests from customers and address their needs
  • Manage expenses to budget
  • Collaborate with other McKesson Teams and Business Units (implementation, support services) as required
  • Participate in company sponsored training and sales programs
  • Learn and maintain necessary product knowledge to ensure success
  • Be an active leader for McKesson's presence at tradeshows and develop industry relationships
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment

Position Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of proven, relevant experience
  • Comfortable professionally engaging with all levels of large organizations (pharmacy chains, hospitals)
  • Strong organizational skills & ability to multi-task
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Highly analytical
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Technologically savvy
  • Collaborative approach to working with colleagues
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in English, Bilingual (English & French), an asset
  • General understanding of retail pharmacy industry, equipment, & dispensary workflow an asset
  • General understanding of healthcare policies in Canada an asset

The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$54,900 - $91,500
