The person applying must be able to work in person at our London, Ontario location as part of a team. This is not a work from home position.
Responsibilities
- Maintain & manage the front & backend of Music City Canada\'s E-Commerce Site on Shopify.
- Maintain product pages and content on the website.
- Manage the data going into the POS system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Create and send weekly emails to clients.
- Create, schedule and post social media posts & stories.
- Take photos of products, the store and people for use on the website and socials.
- Maintain API connections for shipping partners and other 3rd party software.
- Web content updates, develop CMS templates, implement graphic designs and CSS changes, and develop content types in the CMS while ensuring brand compliance and web best practices.
- Optionally, prefer experience to create, manage & customize Shopify themes and the Shopify Custom App API to create custom adds to work within the webstore.
- Develop and manage the execution of a strong marketing SEO content strategy and build SEO reporting dashboards.
- Collaborate with various teams to create useful, engaging, and effective content.
- Oversee writing style and tone for all website content, advise on content governance standards and ensure compliance.
- Monitor website usage using Google Analytics and other web measurement tools to identify, analyze, and report trends and issues.
- Other duties as required.
What You Need to Succeed
- Completion of a college program in Digital Marketing, Web Design, Web Development, or equivalent.
- 2-3 years experience in a digital marketing, web development, or digital strategy role.
- Google experience and education using Ads, SEO, Shopping, Analytics, Optimization etc.
- Experience with web content management systems (e.g., CraftCMS, Drupal, WordPress, SiteCore), editing applications, and HTML / HTML5, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Javascript / jQuery, and code deployment processes (e.g., testing QA production).
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work with the business and technical leadership teams.
- Experience in related digital marketing, site development / UX. Google Ads, email marketing, social media maintenance, experience working with Shopify, Lightspeed, Google Business, and Google Merchant Center.
- Expertise with SEO tools like SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, Analytics, Webmaster Tools, Tag Manager, etc.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and other design applications.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and a high level of proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships and to effectively interface with all levels of management, operational staff, customers, and external vendors.
- Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to social media.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track performance metrics.
- Experience with email marketing platforms like MailChimp.
- A passion for music and knowledge of musical instruments is highly desirable.
