Location: Hensall, Ontario

Hourly Range: $22.55

Status: Part Time Dietary Aide, Vacancy

Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role in enriching the lives of residents by providing nutritious and delicious meals that are prepared and served with love. If you are ready to be part of a great team that is passionate about their work and improving the lives of our Residents, this is the role for you!

This is a Part Time, every other weekend schedule, though extended hours may be required from time to time. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring high attention to detail and strong time management skills. The role includes regular use of computer systems and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling
  • Assisting cooks in basic food preparation
  • Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols
  • Serving meals according to Resident diet orders
  • Washing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining room
Knowledge And Skills Required
  • Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act
  • Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others
  • Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
  • A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of hire date
  • Completion of a 2 Step TB Skin test within the last 12 months
