Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer with Kubernetes and Rancher

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure using tools like Rancher and Helm.
  • Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and ArgoCD to enable seamless application delivery.
  • Configure and manage container registries such as Harbor and Artifactory.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Fluentd / Fluentbit.
  • Ensure security best practices, including SAST tools like Checkmarx and Sonar, and manage certificates using Certificate Manager.
  • Manage secrets securely using Vault and integrate secret management into CI / CD pipelines.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve system reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, including Rancher, Helm, and security configurations.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with GitLab CI, GitHub, Jenkins, or ArgoCD for building and automating pipelines.
  • Proficiency in managing secrets securely using Vault or similar tools.
  • Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Proficiency in Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, and Loki for observability.
  • Knowledge of Ceph, Longhorn, S3 or Portworks for managing persistent storage in Kubernetes environments.
  • Familiarity with Checkmarx and Sonar for static application security testing.
  • Experience in managing deployments in air-gapped environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and network security best practices.
  • Experience with Harbor and Artifactory for managing container images.
  • Experience with Kong for API gateway and ingress management.
  • Understanding of Active Directory for authentication and access control.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware and hypervisors.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Trino, and Iceberg for distributed data processing.
  • Must be eligible for up to a Top Secret Security Clearance.
