Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Annual Giving Programs, the Development Coordinator, Annual Giving & Gaming focuses on supporting the execution and evaluation of annual giving campaigns, with emphasis on growing, developing, and executing the raffle program.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate prize packages for the prize raffle program.
  • Collaborate with Communications to develop prize package marketing strategies, including titles, descriptions, and imagery.
  • Research potential prizes and prize sources.
  • Solicit prize donations, execute prize purchases, and manage relationships with prize donors and vendors.
  • Develop prize donor recognition and stewardship plans.
  • Coordinate with Events and Major Gifts to clear prize donation prospects and execute combined solicitations.
  • Monitor raffles from other organizations and maintain a file of prize ideas and best practices.
  • Lead ticket purchaser support for raffle ticket sales and the support email box.
  • Support the Development Officer, Online Giving & Outreach, in collecting, organizing, and analyzing raffle ticket purchaser data and importing records into CRM.
  • Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting on raffle campaign results.
  • Support development and execution of strategies to engage existing and repeat raffle purchasers and convert them into donors (monthly donor focus).
  • Coordinate notification of prize winners and prize pickup/delivery.
  • Assume other related responsibilities and support the Annual Giving team as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., marketing, communications, fundraising) plus a minimum of 3 years related experience in fundraising or revenue-generating activities. An equivalent combination will be considered. Experience with annual giving plans and budgets is preferred. Knowledge of fundraising systems, structures, procedures, and strategies to recruit and retain donors. Proven success in annual campaigns, events, direct mail, planned giving, or major gifts is an asset.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication; ability to compose clear, concise, and compelling correspondence and reports.
  • Experience communicating with a diverse audience through multiple channels.
  • Donor-centered approach to campaigns, solicitations, recognition, and stewardship.
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion in internal and external interactions.
  • Knowledge of marketing, privacy, and charity gaming regulations; awareness of emerging trends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Fundraising database experience is an asset.
