Overview

Kelly is hiring! We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Technician to support laboratory operations focused on agricultural samples.

This role involves logging, preparing, and entering sample data into templated Excel files, as well as assisting with routine laboratory testing procedures. The successful candidate will help ensure accurate results, maintain instrument performance, and uphold documentation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately log sample data into Microsoft Excel and prepare standardized result templates.
• Perform basic agricultural sample testing (e.g., moisture and protein levels using NIR technology).
• Conduct and record routine instrument maintenance and calibrations (e.g., NIR instruments, balances).
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and proper labelling / documentation protocols.
• Follow company health and safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
• Deliver accurate and timely testing results to internal teams.
• Support quality control procedures and escalate any data or equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in data entry, lab support, or agricultural testing is an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (templated data entry, basic formatting).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise documentation standards.
• Comfortable working with lab instruments (training provided).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work on-call hours and overtime as required.
