We are seeking a highly skilled and curious Data and Model Governance Lead to join Marqeta’s Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data science, regulatory operations, and risk analytics. You will partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and cross‑functional stakeholders to unlock insights, automate processes, and elevate how we govern and manage third‑party programs, cardholder protections, data models, and regulatory obligations.
Furthermore, you’ll be expected to partner with cross‑functional teams outside of our immediate organization and strategize how to best bring our metrics‑driven performance framework to life, while also supporting the needs of external partners in functions such as Compliance, Revenue, Legal, and Product. The successful candidate should also be able to assist with lightweight process automation through scripts and possess strong SQL skills.
You will be viewed as the department‑specific data lead, which will require a close partnership with our Data & Insights, Product, and Engineering teams. Ultimately, you will help us improve our end‑to‑end processes to yield better program management experiences overall.
