Overview

Global Financial Firm located in MISSISSAUGA, ON has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst. This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule. You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iPhone for remote access into the client systems during remote work. We are expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement. Video / f2f interviews are required prior to all offers.

Job Title: Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Apply strong data analysis and governance practices to ensure integrity, lineage and quality across enterprise data.
• Perform data profiling, validation, and impact assessments to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Design and implement SQL queries for reporting, analysis, and data validation.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and standards.
• Support documentation of data dictionaries, metadata, and lineage tracking.
• Provide insights to improve decision-making through data-driven analysis.
• Work with development and project management teams using Agile tools (Jira, Bitbucket).
• Contribute to process improvement and automation of data quality checks.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-4 years in a data analyst, data governance, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, and profiling methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Understanding of metadata management and master data principles.
• Experience with Agile delivery practices; Jira / Bitbucket exposure preferred.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
