What you’ll do

You will be empowered to own the growth of the Alberta dairy portfolio, making you directly responsible for expanding Trouw Nutrition’s regional business and driving its Purpose-driven mission of Feeding the Future. This involves taking the initiative to become the trusted, long-term partner for dairy producers by delivering expert on-farm technical consulting; specifically, you will collaborate with the nutrition team to perform precise ration balancing and offer solutions that maximize both herd productivity and profitability. You will drive market engagement by creating compelling sales materials and representing Trouw Nutrition professionally at industry events, ensuring you consistently own your results by transforming expert advice into profitable business growth.

Who we’re looking for

You are a self-starter ready to own your career by blending a foundational BSc in agricultural science with a demonstrable passion for the Alberta Dairy industry. You possess the unique combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills required to build and maintain the deep, trusting, and long-term relationships central to this role, showcasing your ability to collaborate effectively. As you will be traveling frequently throughout the Alberta region, you exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills to manage your territory independently, proving that you are prepared to take initiative and apply your expert knowledge to own and deliver consistent value to dairy producers.

You’ll also need
  • Education & Industry Passion: Must possess a BSc in agricultural science, animal nutrition or a related field, combined with a demonstrated knowledge of and passion for the Alberta Dairy industry and dairy operations across Western Canada

  • Technical & Relationship Expertise: Proven ability to build trusting and long-term business relationships with dairy producers, leveraging expertise to provide on-farm technical consulting (e.g., ration balancing) to maximize productivity and profitability

  • Communication & Sales Acumen: Requires a strong combination of interpersonal and communication skills to effectively represent Trouw Nutrition, create compelling sales presentations, and grow the regional dairy portfolio

  • Independent Management & Travel: Must have excellent organizational and time management skills and be able to travel frequently throughout the Alberta region to manage and service the territory independently.
