A nationwide family business is seeking a motivated individual to oversee daily operations and manage staff at a service station in Ontario. The role requires handling money, managing stock, ensuring health and safety, and providing excellent customer service. Flexibility is necessary as the service station operates daily. Experience as a supervisor in retail is preferred, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.
We're looking for a motivated individual to join our client's team within a busy service station, a Nationwide family business, operating as the heartbeat of a small community. In this role, you'll be in charge of daily operations and managing staff. Your main tasks will include handling money, managing stock and orders, ensuring health and safety, creating work schedules, training staff, addressing any issues, and keeping the station looking great while providing excellent customer service.
Customer service is crucial for any business as it directly impacts customer satisfaction, loyalty & repeat business. Being empathetic, patient, and proactive in communication can enhance the customer experience. Additionally, teamwork and the ability to handle multiple tasks may be required to streamline processes and ensure effective service delivery.
It would be helpful if you have experience as a supervisor in a retail setting, although not essential, with a mature outlook and the willingness to learn, you will be mentored by knowledgeable, friendly and confident management. This position is up to 40 hours a week, usually spread across 4/5 days, but you need to be flexible since the service station operates every day of the week. That means you might need to work on weekends or bank holidays.
