A local tile retailer in Richmond is looking for an enthusiastic team member to join their customer service and sales team. This role involves engaging with customers on the sales floor, loading products, and maintaining a clean and inviting showroom. Ideal candidates will have a great personality, a commitment to service, and the ability to lift heavy loads. Established in 1988, Richmond Tile Centre (RTC) has been dedicated to providing Richmond and the Lower Mainland with quality tile selection and service for the past 25+ years. Offering expert, hands‑on advice, innovative design tips and unique tile solutions for your walls, floors, backsplashes, bathrooms, surrounds, patios and more.
This position involves several key duties:
Customer Service – Actively approach customers on the sales floor, inquire about their needs and wants, offer solutions that are tailored specifically to that customer, and work with the customer until their needs are met.
Loading – Pull tile from the sales floor and load into customer vehicles either by hand, using a pallet jack or with a forklift; assist with loading tile to the sales floor as needed.
Cleaning – Put away sample boards, dust shelves, sweep and mop floors, shovel snow and clean common areas such as bathrooms.
Merchandising – Pack product out to the shelves from the stock room, create signage and displays, and help ensure that our showroom is clean and ready for customers.
Beyond these key duties, all employees are expected to fill in and help out as needed in order to ensure that everything that needs doing gets done.
