The Opportunity
As the Supervisor of Corporate Logistics, you will oversee corporate programs in these areas, including policies and procedures, asset management, capital replacement planning, procurement and acquisition, preventive maintenance, repair, service standards, and revenue protection. You will ensure the company’s fleet and facilities are properly maintained and compliant with company policies and government regulations. Additionally, you will manage the water metering program, including installation, repair, maintenance, and revenue protection, as well as oversee site security and fire monitoring.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage vehicle and equipment usage, scheduling, and repairs.
- Assist with Capital and Operating budgets.
- Ensure proper implementation of fleet management policies and procedures, including vehicle utilization, and fuel management.
- Manage preventative maintenance and repair schedule and programs.
- Support initiatives to reduce carbon emissions for fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Manage legislated vehicle and equipment inspections and consult with regulatory ministries regarding licensing, registration, and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain accurate monthly fleet management records and reports, including vehicle inventory, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage.
- Ensure that all facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
- Oversees planning and execution of regular facility maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain records of all maintenance work.
- Identify facility issues, schedule services, and oversee corrective actions.
- Conduct facility inspections and address non-conformances promptly.
- Review and implement new procedures, research, and strategies related to operations, maintenance, and safety of the facilities, fleet, and departmental staff.
- Ensure policies remain current as per relevant legislative and guideline changes.
- Effective and efficient allocation of financial resources within the facilities portfolio; Monitor, analyze and optimize financial performance.
- Oversee the quality of work, schedules, and safety of metering staff.
- Oversee all equipment to ensure equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and replaced as required.
- Oversees the management of metering data points within the system and analyze data for accuracy.
- Ensure that metering policies and procedures are followed.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure metering and billing revenue protection activities are conducted in the best interest of the corporation.
- Lead performance coach, appraisals, recruitment, development, training, engagement, and retention of team members to adequately staff the required work.
- Oversee the training on new processes, software, equipment, and metering advancements as they are implemented.
- Oversee metering asset inventory.
- Oversee security systems, including all door access, camera system, and fire systems.
- Oversee all Building Automation Systems.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Core Capabilities:
- Five (5) years’ Supervisory experience in a municipal office environment, water or wastewater environment or in an engineering, conservation or environmental agency or equivalent.
- Knowledge of field activities essential to the operation, construction, maintenance, and general repair of water metering infrastructure.
- Knowledge of corporate fleet management principles such as asset management, business management, financial management, maintenance management, risk management, emergency vehicle maintenance, and vehicle fuel maintenance. Must have a good understanding of fleet operations regarding repair requirements, scheduling, and maintaining an operating fleet.
- Knowledge of facility maintenance including general understanding of HVAC systems, lighting, elevator, etc.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Operating Guidelines plus any other legislation relevant to the duties.
- Familiarity with current regulations regarding municipal water and wastewater systems is an asset.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field or suitable equivalent.
- G Class Driver’s License in good standing and reliable vehicle to use for travel/site visits throughout InnServices and for us on corporate business (AZ License is an asset).
- Excellent interpersonal, project/time management, analytical, communication, presentation, public/media relations, problem‑solving, negotiations, and staff leadership and supervisory skills with a strong aptitude for adapting to change.
- Computer literacy utilizing word‑processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software and the Internet.
