Position Overview

The Corporate Accountant is a tech‑savvy, high‑performing professional responsible for maintaining full‑cycle accounting records and regulatory filings for corporate legal entities and holding companies. This role plays a key part in supporting financial systems implementation and policy rollouts to streamline processes and enhance efficiency across the organization.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Key Responsibilities
  • Month‑End Close: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations (management fees, pushdowns).
  • Complete corporate accounting working papers.
  • Quarter‑End Close: Prepare financial statement disclosure notes and supporting documentation.
  • Accounting Operations: Maintain accounting records for corporate entities and holding companies, including general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions in multiple currencies.
  • Collaborate with reporting units to resolve accounting issues and ensure compliance with group policies.
  • Assist in producing consolidated monthly and ad‑hoc operational and financial reports.
  • Accounts Payable Oversight: Review invoice entry, coding, authorization, payment runs, wire payments, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Review monthly intercompany invoices and reconcile intercompany accounts; prepare intercompany confirmations for relevant subsidiaries.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare quarterly sales tax returns and reconcile refunds against returns.
  • Audit Coordination: Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and timely resolution of audit issues.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the annual Head Office budget process.
  • Other Duties: Support special projects and reporting as required by the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Financial Systems.
Qualifications
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and corporate accounting principles.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions and multi‑currency environments.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms; ability to adapt to new technologies.

This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.86 - $45.67/hr.
