Job summary

A health services organization in Canada is looking for a qualified candidate with experience in the Police/Security field. The role requires at least five years of supervisory experience, completion of security-related courses, and a relevant bachelor's degree. Candidates must be eligible for a 'Special Constable' appointment. The successful applicant will work to coordinate clinical and preventive health services, focusing on strengthening community health across Manitoba. Knowledge in Indigenous customs and traditions is preferred.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • Five years previous experience in Police/Security field, at the supervisory level.
  • Completion of Security related courses required.
  • Prior experience in the development and communication of training programs required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
  • Bachelor degree in Administration, Criminology or other relevant discipline preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must be eligible for "Special Constable" appointment through the Provincial Attorney General's Department.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Demonstrated investigation skills required.
  • Must have or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to the area of supervision.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office applications, analog/digital/IP camera operations and Perspective 2000 data collection program functions.
