A large not-for-profit senior community in Toronto is seeking a Cook 2 to prepare nutritious meals and ensure compliance with health regulations. The successful applicant will have a culinary management diploma or chef training, and two years of experience in quantity cooking. Responsibilities include maintaining sanitary work areas and following food safety protocols while delivering excellent service to residents. Applications are open until September 16, 2025.

Shepherd Village is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Cook 2. You will work as part of a team to facilitate food production by preparing nutritious meals and snacks for residents, staff, and guests of Shepherd Village as well as Meals on Wheels Clients. Ensures Canada’s Food Guide requirements are met as well as Ministry of Health Compliance Standards, ORCA Standards and in accordance with Health Regulations and Sodexo Standards.
What You Will Work On
Reporting to the Supervisor, Food Services, the successful applicant will be expected to represent Shepherd Village in a courteous and professional manner, while maintaining amicable relationships with staff, Residents and their families, in keeping with our Corporate Values.
