A leading construction solutions company is seeking a Contractor Sales Representative in Campbellton, New Brunswick. This role involves partnering with contractors to understand their needs and assist in planning construction projects. You will be expected to demonstrate high standards of safety and customer service while meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate is confident, self-motivated, and bilingual in French and English, with experience in sales preferred. A knowledge of lumber and building materials is an asset.

  • Demonstrates high standards of safety and customer service.
  • Produces quotes, material lists and follows up on deliveries.

Job description

Contractor Sales Representatives partner with contractors to fully understand their needs and assist in planning construction projects. As knowledgeable sales professionals, contractor sales representatives can make recommendations which solve customers’ problems. For this position you will receive a base salary plus uncapped commission following a probationary period.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, and can manage changing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to quickly develop a trusting relationship with new customers, and build rapport with existing customers
  • Experience in sales is preferred
  • A knowledge of lumber and building materials, and the construction process is an asset
  • Bilingual - French/English
Responsibilities

  • Is a resource for sales associates
  • Produces quotes, material lists and follows up on deliveries
  • Completes sales targets on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Maintains a contact list and contact schedule for prospective and existing customers
  • Grows the geographic sales area by building new relationships with contractors and strengthening relationships with existing accounts
  • Continually learns about products and market conditions
