Position Overview

Ivey Executive Education is growing, and we’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist who is excited to build awareness, generate leads, and connect with leaders across industries. This role is about creating content that sparks interest, builds trust, and drives results.

You’ll lead content planning and execution across social media, outbound email, and our website. You’ll help position Ivey’s faculty and programs as go-to sources for leadership insight by crafting thought leadership pieces, interviews, and expert-driven content that speaks to senior decision-makers. Working closely with a dynamic Customer Experience team, you’ll bring campaigns to life, support sales and business development, and ensure our message lands with the right audiences. From writing sharp copy to tracking performance metrics, you’ll help shape how Ivey Executive Education shows up in the world — and how the right people find their way to us.

Responsibilities

Content Writing

You’ll lead the charge on content creation across our owned channels. That means crafting sharp, insightful, and on-brand copy for emails, blog articles, social posts, sales assets, and alumni communications. You’ll help shape the editorial voice of Ivey Executive Education while keeping an eye on what’s timely, relevant, and valuable for our audience.

  • Write, edit and adapt content across digital platforms
  • Build and manage an editorial calendar
  • Develop thought leadership content for HR, L&D, and executive audiences
  • Collaborate with faculty, alumni, and partners to tell compelling stories
  • Produce our monthly alumni newsletter, The Brief
  • Support SEO through keyword-informed content
  • Coordinate with freelance writers and content partners when needed

Social Media & Community Engagement

  • Drive communications across our social media and outbound email channels
  • Create, post, and schedule original and repurposed content
  • Engage with followers, prospects, alumni, and clients in real time
  • Monitor key client accounts and industry trends
  • Partner with internal teams and external collaborators to amplify content
  • Track analytics and summarize insights monthly

Design & Visual Content Support

Strong visuals are a big part of how we show up. You’ll help create and adapt branded assets for social, email, and web — working with external designers and video contractors to keep content polished and professional.

  • Coordinate graphic needs across campaigns and channels
  • Collaborate on short-form video content for social
  • Manage and optimize our video platform uploads
  • Ensure alignment with Ivey’s visual identity and branding guidelines

Website Updates and Optimization

You’ll keep our digital storefront up to date and dynamic. That includes maintaining accurate program and event pages, publishing new content, and flagging opportunities to improve user experience.

  • Update content across our CMS
  • Publish blog articles, faculty insights, and program updates
  • Monitor site performance and flag areas for improvement
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A university degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in writing, editing, or content development — ideally for a brand, publication, or media outlet
  • A sharp understanding of SEO and how to apply it to drive visibility and relevance
  • Proven experience building audiences across digital, social, or media platforms
  • Hands-on experience managing social media accounts, using scheduling and analytics tools, and running email campaigns
  • Comfort working with web content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management tools (CRM)
  • Bonus if you’ve worked in education, B2B, or professional services, and if you have a proven ability to turn complex topics into clear, compelling content

Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to tailor voice, tone, and messaging for different audiences and platforms
  • Strong visual judgment and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) — you don’t need to be a graphic designer, but you know what good design looks like and how to collaborate with creative pros
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities without losing focus
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with a variety of internal and external stakeholders — from faculty and executives to freelancers and vendors
  • A proactive, curious attitude; someone who keeps up with trends in communications, digital marketing, and executive education, and is always looking to improve results.
