Consultant - Bentley Infrastructure Cloud

Location: Remote, CA Home or Hybrid, CA Home or Hybrid, CA

Position Summary:

Bentley’s Professional Services team is seeking a Bentley Infrastructure Consultant with strong technical, communication, and writing skills, who can also demonstrate initiative. This role provides our users with the highest level of professional services and training in the use of our software.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the adoption of our Bentley Infrastructure Cloud solution (ProjectWise) within Bentley accounts, engaging with users on all aspects of their business.
  • Perform ProjectWise-related activities such as installing (on-premise) and configuring the software, staying current with upgrades and product updates.
  • Handle administrative tasks including the maintenance of datasources, standards, and business processes, and develop procedures that allow designers to collaborate as a team, with internal and (potentially) external colleagues.
  • Define and convey user configuration and workflow needs to meet specific business requirements.
  • Coaching and Training: Conduct technical coaching sessions on ProjectWise Administration as well as user training.
  • Troubleshoot systems related to ProjectWise on-premise infrastructure such as Windows servers, database servers, and networks.
  • Technical writing of training materials, processes, and procedures
  • Work on major projects with little to no supervision.
  • Prepare and execute presentations to high-level user management and the general user community while representing Bentley.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of electronic document management with a strong emphasis on engineering design, including BIM and document/collaboration management standards.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design, engineering, and construction field.
  • Experience with ProjectWise at a project level required; Administration of ProjectWise preferred.
  • Understanding of relational databases, including administration, operation, and maintenance with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP and Microsoft Active Directory, is a plus.
  • Understanding Microsoft technologies including PowerShell, Teams, and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 25%, primarily in the hiring region.
  • Relationship management: Able to develop rapport with others and recognize their concerns and feelings; build and maintain long-term associations based on trust. Ability to be a strong team player and communicate effectively among a diverse work team in multiple locations across the globe. Confident in dealing with technical experts, sales colleagues, engineers, senior management, and working in the technology field.
  • Communication: Able to clearly present information through spoken or written words; read and interpret complex information; talk with and listen to users.
  • Planning, prioritizing, and goal setting: Able to prepare for emerging user needs; manage multiple projects; determine project urgency in a meaningful and practical way; use goals to guide actions; organize and schedule tasks. Handle pressure situations, especially when dealing with complex client requirements.

  • Spanish Speaking is a plus
