A leading alternative legal services provider in Ontario is seeking a Contract Lawyer to draft and negotiate commercial agreements. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in law and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. The role includes a competitive salary starting at $120,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, primarily allowing for remote work with some on-site requirements.
Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, supply agreements, IT agreements, licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, ensuring they are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies.
Identify and evaluate legal and business risks associated with commercial contracts and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience practicing law in Ontario, with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts in an in-house setting.
Experience creating contract templates and managing contract databases is a plus.
