As a Senior Cloud engineer at iTMethods, you’ll build and deploy custom DevOps tool chains onto the platform that enables our enterprise customers to innovate, automate and accelerate on the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Build & Automate: Building serverless infrastructure using AWS services and automating deployment of DevOps tools to support application release orchestration. Preparing and delivering a resilient, monitored, highly secured and complete solution for the Managed Services organization to maintain.
- Integration: Integrating the solutions to a client network as well as integrating the tools to function seamlessly together.
- Testing: Testing solutions with the intent that they are QA certified to hand to a customer for acceptance testing.
- Documentation: Ensuring all work is documented in the appropriate tool so that any of the engineering team is able to pick up the work by referencing the documents.
- Continuous Improvement: Ensuring all engineering materials are continuously improved and delivered with consistency so that the Managed Services organization is able to effectively and efficiently manage and maintain the deployment.
- Continuous Learning: Keeping up to date with cutting edge technologies impacting the solutions being deployed as well as learning new ways of delivering similar solutions.
- Collaborating with management and peers at the customers to inform and educate them on the solutions being delivered.
Qualifications
- Driven to deliver high quality experiences for customers on our platform.
- High degree of comfort with automation tools and serverless architecture.
- Experience with cloud and on-premises deployment using Jenkins, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, and other tools as appropriate.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization solutions.
- Experience with Cloud Provider Services including Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with Linux: CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux.
- Knowledge of configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP and NTP.
- Knowledge of database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL and NoSQL.
- Certifications in AWS, Jenkins and Atlassian are preferred.
- Evidence of being a quick learner to grow and advance as we incorporate and automate more DevOps tools into our platform.
- Strong ability to both work within a team and independently on multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Self-motivated and thrive on developing solutions to open-ended business problems.
