Overview

This role is in support of initiatives for infrastructure modernization, of which a critical component is application migration to cloud and organizational readiness. The overall objective of these initiatives is to consolidate, modernize, and standardize legacy, and almost full capacity, data centres into fewer modern, secure and reliable facilities.

Responsibilities

Working within TeraMach’s project team, the responsibilities of the Cloud Architect will be to provide key input on the architecture and design for secure, resilient and cloud ready architectures and solutions in either the Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google cloud environments.

Deliverables may include:

• Architecture design documents for both hybrid and non-hybrid cloud solutions
• Concept of operations documents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Computer Science/Engineering fields or have related industry experience or acumen;
• 7+ years’ experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
• 3+ years’ experience deploying enterprise workloads to cloud
• Experience designing and consuming cloud services (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
• Demonstrated deep understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and experience using them together to build complex solutions.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware and storage
• Relevant cloud vendor certifications (i.e. Current Certified Cloud Security Professional (CSSP); Azure Certified Solutions Architect - Professional)
