A mental health service for youth in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team, delivering individualized care to children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues. Candidates should have at least 3 years of Registered Mental Health Nurse experience, a keen interest in clinical leadership, and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $109,599 - $115,682 per annum.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health challenges.
CAHS helps children grow and thrive and we offer these same opportunities to the nurses who join our team. Our team-oriented approach allows for extensive clinical upskilling, and leadership development opportunities for nurses of all levels.
Eating Disorders Service (EDS): The EDS at Perth Children’s Hospital supports children and young people facing challenges related to eating and exercise. A multidisciplinary team delivers a range of treatment options including outpatient care, day programs, inpatient support, and group therapy. The service guides patients and families through assessment, recovery, and discharge.
Gender Diversity Service (GDS): GDS is a specialised outpatient clinic that provides support to children and young people, and their families, seeking information about gender identity, consultation and assessment, and assessment and approval for gender-affirming medical treatment of teenagers where appropriate.
Paediatric Psychiatry In-Reach Team (PPIRT): PPIRT offers expert psychiatric consultation and support to PCH clinicians, patients, and families. The team collaborates with treating teams to manage complex mental health needs by providing:
Crisis Connect (CCC) provides a single point of contact for children in community settings across metropolitan Perth (including metropolitan emergency departments) who require urgent mental health support, brief intervention and / or assessment.
Support is offered in a variety of different mediums including mental health assessments in PCH emergency department, tele-health assessments for young people into metro adult ED’s in addition to a 24 / 7 crisis line accessible to all young people, their families and carers in addition to professionals such as teachers, GPs and school psychologists seeking expert advice.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide comprehensive and evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will deliver individualised care using a problem-orientated approach, and act as an advocate for patients, consumers, and other members of the health care team to achieve health goals. Please note this position is on site, based at Perth Children’s Hospital.
