How You Will Make an Impact

The successful candidate will extend our mission to our clients, visitors, and staff by providing timely support to the team and its functioning, while also ensuring client care and Program standards are being upheld. This particular role places emphasis on leadership and supporting the direct service staff with day-to-day tasks. The incumbent must be able to work independently in a challenging and rewarding values-based environment. In addition to front line shelter duties, this position requires leadership in the following areas:

• Providing support on the floor for co-workers, including but not limited to:
• Debriefing
• Co-facilitating
• Conflict resolution
• Crisis intervention

Taking initiative with client flow management and task assignment throughout a shift

Facilitating client decision-making

Facilitating team building, group cohesion, and promoting a positive staff culture

Observe all health and safety rules and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations

What You\'ll Bring to Our Team

• Minimum 3-years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience an asset.
• Post-Secondary education in social work or related field.
