The Opportunity

This is a 6-month temporary position.

Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Client Relationship Specialist role is responsible for service and managing our client’s day to day expectations along with working with the Client Development Specialist (CDS) to sell and assist in the sales of different types of insurance.

Day in the life
  • Support the Client Development Specialist with new builder membership applications, including client follow up, and noting/uploading supporting documents to the Broker Management System (WIMS).
  • Introduce builder members to WIMS, training them on database functionality and assisting their office as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with builder members and act as a subject matter expert on new home warranty.
  • Collection of builder fees, risk premium and collateral security per terms and conditions letters.
  • Make renewal and expiry calls to existing clients, ensuring applications are completed and submitted to Underwriting.
  • Review and enter completion certificates, upload incomplete documents to registration.
  • Review enrollments and collect all supporting documents necessary to complete and enter a new home registration.
  • Complete all membership changes such updates to contact information, and collection of documents needed to process shareholder changes.
  • Work with the Client Development Specialist to quote and cross-sell insurance.
  • Maintain a current understanding of specified sections of the acts and regulations regarding home warranty insurance in the geographical area of responsibility.
  • Provide builders with guidance with respect to their obligations/requirements under home warranty protection regulations.
  • All Administrative duties as reasonably required.
What you will bring to our team
  • Level 1 or 2 General Insurance License or the willingness and desire to obtain.
  • Proficient technical skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other standard business software.).
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Self-motivated and a positive attitude.
  • Experience in New Home Warranty, Real Estate conveyancing, Insurance and/or Construction would be considered an asset but is not required.
  • Post-Secondary education would be considered an asset.
  • Fluency in Cantonese or Punjabi would be an asset but is not required.
Salary Expectations

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $55,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
