Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for obtaining first notice of loss reports for non-complex auto and property claims through an Express Claim Center. The individual handles customer questions on process, policies, and next steps, and updates claim information.

Key Responsibilities
  • May schedule inspections, send out mitigation vendors or contractors to customer property or set up housing arrangements as needed.

  • Contacts or receives contact from customer or other claim related third parties to obtain and/or provide necessary file information to comply with quality and process standards.

  • Receives, screens, and routes incoming telephone calls and other electronic correspondence.

  • Takes first notice of loss claims, explains the basic claim process, and provides information of a general nature to customers.

  • Retrieves, prints and faxes, or mails supporting documentation to vendors or others as directed.

  • Handles claim files (locates/requests files, files paperwork, reconstructs missing files, moves misfiled documents, sends to other offices, etc.).

  • Performs clerical duties, including data entry, filing paper documents, email, calendar management, and word processing.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Required Skills
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.

  • Competency in oral and written communication, preferable multilingual. This role is looking for a candidate that is bilingual in English and French.

Compensation

Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 41,000.00 - 62,225.00 annually. Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.

Description de poste Le représentant ou la représentante de service de réclamation est responsable de recevoir les premiers avis de déclaration de sinistre d’assurance automobile et habitation peu complexes par un centre des réclamations express. Le ou la titulaire du poste répond aux questions des clients relatives aux processus, aux polices et aux marches à suivre, et met à jour les renseignements relatifs aux réclamations.

Désignation du rôle : à domicile

Responsabilités :

  • Traiter tous les appels de premier avis de sinistre (PAS) auto et habitation;
  • Répondre aux questions des clients auto et habitation reçues par téléphone, en exerçant un pouvoir décisionnel sur les réclamations;
  • Fournir un service exceptionnel aux clients selon les normes de qualité prévues et celles du service de réclamations;
  • Faire preuve d’empathie et de bienveillance envers les clients;
  • Obtenir tous les renseignements relatifs aux sinistres et les consigner de manière appropriée;
  • Expliquer les prochaines étapes du processus de réclamation et les prochaines étapes aux clients;
  • Déterminer la méthode d’inspection appropriée et les services d’urgence nécessaires, au besoin.

Exigences :

  • Un an d’expérience en service à la clientèle;
  • Un an d’expérience dans un poste d’expert ou d’experte en sinistres auto/habitation;
  • Compétences en communication orale et verbale, multilingue de préférence;
  • Habiletés en prestation d’un service à la clientèle exceptionnel;
  • Capacité à gérer efficacement la pression et des charges importantes de travail.
