Overview

City of Brampton — Full-Time Dispatch at Bramalea Civic Centre. Continental Nights (1930 - 0730). Payrate: $23.35/hr. Averaging Agreement: Overtime is AA after 88 hours. Internal Posting Date: January 6, 2026. Internal Closing Date: January 13, 2026. External Closing Date: January 21, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee several sites within the City of Brampton. Monitor systems including fire and life safety, access control, and CCTV.
• Assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.
• Utilize Two-way Radio Communication and Perspective Software.
• Oversee the tracking and deployment of security personnel across City of Brampton sites.
• Monitor fire and life safety systems, access control, and parking.
• Assign reports to security personnel when required using reporting software.
• Investigate routine incidents.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of dispatch security experience.
• Minimum 3 years of security experience or related experience is an asset.
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code.
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin\'s UOF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding to meet position requirements. The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as a prerequisite, but Paladin will cover certification costs with a 6-month commitment.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
