Job summary

A local restaurant in York Region is seeking an experienced cook to coordinate special events and prepare meals. Candidates should have experience in a fast-paced environment and hold relevant Food Safety and First Aid certifications. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure. The right candidate will be a team player and have at least 3 years of experience in related roles. Full-time permanent position with a competitive hourly wage offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience required.
• Must be a permanent resident or temporary resident with a valid work permit for Canada.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate special events.
• Determine food portion sizes and costs.
• Plan menus, estimate food requirements.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Maintain inventory and records of food supplies.
