AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates all of AWS’s global infrastructure. This includes data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continuous access to innovation. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver the highest standards of safety and security while delivering capacity at the lowest possible cost. The role requires proficiency in both French and English and includes approximately 25 % travel to manage projects in Calgary and Montréal.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Direct interface with construction general contractors during the bidding, award, execution, and project close‑out/punch list phases.
  • Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
  • Create construction project scope and request for proposals.
  • Perform financial analysis of construction projects.
  • Manage construction projects for initiatives aimed at increasing data‑center resiliency.
  • Review constructability of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data‑centers.
  • Manage construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
  • Perform construction project quality control.
  • Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
  • Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root‑cause failure analysis associated with equipment failures.
  • Lead internally and with external teams that support the data center.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 8 + years of experience or 12 years in lieu of degree.
  • Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
  • Experience in project management within data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data‑center infrastructure.
  • Experience with Procore and other construction management software.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
  • Bilingualism in French and English required due to interaction with Amazon entities worldwide.
  • Anticipated travel of approximately 25 % for managing projects in Calgary and Montréal.
  • Physical requirements expected with reasonable accommodations.
