Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the Older Peoples Services based in Ward 6 at Queen Margaret Hospital. The service has 22 inpatient beds. We provide ongoing Assessment and Rehabilitation for our Elderly population. As part of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the delivery of rehabilitative care to support and manage patients through their rehabilitation journey towards discharge planning.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the delivery of high standards of care to support and manage patients with complex needs.
  • Work closely with the Senior Charge Nurse to ensure effective management and operation of the ward.
  • Lead, motivate and develop staff within the service, drawing on experience in an elderly or medical setting.
  • Support the delivery of rehabilitative care within the Rehabilitation Setting and contribute to a supportive ethos in providing a high quality service as set out in the Nursing Assurance Framework.
