Job description

We are seeking a Chaplain to join our Pastoral Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing spiritual and emotional support to our seniors, their families, and our staff. You will take ownership of coordinating pastoral activities, strengthening church partnerships, and contributing to a holistic care environment across our centres.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and arrange appropriate pastoral care for patients, residents, their loved ones, and staff at assigned centres (including nursing homes where applicable).
  • Coordinate with Centre Managers and church partners to align, plan, and execute pastoral programmes.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, meaningful relationships with church partners.
  • Support an interdisciplinary approach by participating in care meetings, case discussions, and rounds.
  • Uphold proper administrative procedures and documentation according to organisational policies.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to embed pastoral care into the organisations culture.
  • Organise and facilitate spiritual activities, services, and programmes that support person‑centred care.
  • Provide pastoral support during crises, end‑of‑life situations, and family engagement sessions when needed.
Job Requirements
  • Basic theological degree with at least 3 years of pastoral experience.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, competent in English.
  • Experience in pastoral care for seniors or in community/healthcare settings preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, problem‑solve, and work both independently and in teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; digital literacy or experience with media (music, videography) is advantageous.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin or local dialects will be an added advantage.
