Catering Service Workers provide courteous and efficient food and beverage service for catered events, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to Legends’ food safety and service standards. They assist with event setup, service, and breakdown while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional environment. The Role

The Catering Service Worker provides courteous and efficient food and beverage service for catered events, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to food safety standards. Assists with event setup, service, and breakdown while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, linens, food stations, and service equipment.
  • Deliver and present food and beverages in accordance with event standards and service timelines.
  • Replenish food, beverages, and supplies throughout events as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of service areas at all times.
  • Handle food and beverages safely, following company, facility, and government regulations.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by providing prompt, professional, and attentive service.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and culinary staff to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and securing catering equipment and supplies post‑event.
  • Follow all Legends policies related to health, safety, and responsible alcohol service.

Knowledge, Education, & Experience
  • Prior experience in catering, banquets, or hospitality service preferred.
  • Smart Serve certification required.
  • Food Handlers certification an asset.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage products and service etiquette.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing and walking for extended periods throughout shifts.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 40–50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting while setting up or serving guests.
  • Must work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to varying event conditions.
  • Requires clear vision and speech to interact with guests and handle service duties safely.
