Job summary

A construction company in Vancouver is looking for a skilled carpenter. You will read blueprints, assemble materials, and maintain wooden structures. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada. This is a full-time permanent position with a pay rate of $36.60 hourly.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.
