Job description
Position Summary

This role incorporates merchandise and operations strategies into each format and remodel project, drawing stores based on data to drive sales and profit.

What you’ll do

In collaboration with design managers and cross‑functional teams, this role draws all format projects and remodels, focusing on merchandise sales floors and back‑of‑house operations. Leveraging standards depicted by cross‑functional teams, this role uses CAD and/or REVIT for accurate drawings. Responsibilities include updating and maintaining floor plans, ensuring fixtures and counter locations are accurate. This role may also maintain file structures and version control of all drawings throughout projects and remodels.

This role leverages space analytics and utilizes recommendations to draw space across format projects and remodels. Identifying additional or reduction requirements to space, the role works together with cross‑functional teams to gain approval and provide analysis recaps of space changes. These recaps help build sales and gross margin forecasts.

Working cross‑functionally, this role ensures quality control of floor plans and resolves accuracy issues. Responsible for delivering high‑quality drawings to the execution team, this role also builds stores based on demographics and analytics. Building relationships across various teams, this role organizes data and identifies opportunities, summarizing drawing analysis to be presented to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience creating and maintaining store floor plans for retail environments, including remodels and new formats
  • Proficiency in REVIT and CAD for producing accurate, detailed drawings
  • Strong understanding of merchandise sales floor layouts and back‑of‑house operational requirements
  • Experience applying standardized design and space planning guidelines across multiple projects
  • Ability to maintain drawing accuracy, file structures, and version control throughout project lifecycles
  • Experience leveraging space analytics, data, and recommendations to inform layout decisions
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess space increases/reductions and document impacts
