Overview

Position Summary: Working as a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada is a great way to develop your skills in the retail industry. A Deli Associate provides exemplary customer service in line with Walmart’s beliefs and values, maintains and zones the deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.

What You'll Do

• Zone the department.
• Rotate stock and check for expired products.
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Take orders for Deli Department merchandise; slice and prepare meat, cheese, fried chicken, and provide requested assistance.
• Provide assistance to front-end Associates with price checks.
• Prepare deli food orders, meat, and cheese; use slicers, stackers, and other utensils; prepare chicken using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; fill prepared salads and side dishes for display areas and specialty orders as required.
• Keep the area neat, clean, and organized; ensure the area is free of debris, liquids, and hazards.
