Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our growing Sales team. This role involves identifying and qualifying high-quality leads, communicating Recharge’s value proposition to prospective merchants, and supporting the initial stages of the sales process.

Your primary responsibility will be to generate leads, book demos, and prepare prospects for sales closure through prospecting, research, and qualification. We offer clear pathways to Sales or Partnerships and value team members who bring their best every day.

Note: While Recharge is remote-first, our sales team is based in Toronto, Canada, and Lehi, Utah. We are specifically looking for candidates to work full-time in-office at our Toronto location.

What You’ll Do
  • Live by and champion our core values: accountability, collaboration, iteration, and attention to detail.
  • Drive sales growth by acquiring new customers and identifying under-penetrated opportunities.
  • Target emerging merchants through discovery calls to understand their goals.
  • Use channels like cold calling, emailing, video, and social selling to connect with prospects and schedule meetings.
  • Communicate Recharge’s value and technical capabilities during early sales interactions.
  • Transition engaged merchants to the Sales team following an acceptance-oriented approach.
  • Manage multiple prospects within a pipeline using Salesforce and Outreach.io, documenting progress and advancing accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and partnership teams to gain experience.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, creating a positive first impression with merchants.
  • Learn effective selling techniques in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
