ROLE: Bulk Milk Tanker Driver
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
LOCATION: Red Deer, Lethbridge, AB
HOURS OF WORK: Shift Work (Including nights and weekends)
Opportunities
The Bulk Milk Tanker Driver will rotate shifts with other drivers including weekends. They are responsible for operating a tractor with tanker in a safe and appropriate manner. Driver’s must conduct all activities in accordance with the Dairy Industry Act and Regulation and with company policies and procedures. All activities must also be completed in a respectful manner, towards customers, other drivers, the public, and management. - Maintain logbooks/records on mileage, report all accidents and turn paperwork in a timely manner

Experience
- You have a Class 1 drivers license to operate a tractor trailer
- You have successful experience in hauling Super B and unstable load
- You have successful experience working independently

things you will do…
- Safe and efficient operation of bulk transport vehicle
- Adhere to safety practices and procedures
- Adhere to Dairy Industry Act and Regulations
- Adhere to applicable Transportation regulations, Occupational Health and Safety, and National Safety Code Regulations
- Maintain strong communication with peers, customers, and Lead Hand/Route foreman
- Fuel vehicle, check oil, and report required repairs/maintenance
- Maintain logbooks/records on mileage, report all accidents and turn paperwork in a timely manner
- Load and unload truck with minimal to no product loss
- Cleaning exterior and inside the tanks of bulk milk trucks
- Maintain excellent attendance along with clean work habits
- Climb ladders to the top of the bulk tanks to check tank levels and for cleanliness
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Class 1 Driver’s License to operate and drive a tractor trailer – Super B experience preferred
- Experience hauling unstable loads
- Must obtain Milk Grader’s License (training will be provided)
- Must pass a company driving test and medical
- Reasonably clean drivers abstract
