A local governmental agency in Ontario is seeking a Building Administrative Student for a 4-month contract. The role involves assisting with front counter inquiries, managing building permit applications, and providing file management support. Candidates must be enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program and possess a valid Ontario Class 'G' license. Excellent organization and communication skills are essential. The position offers $18.48 per hour for 35 hours a week, starting April 29, 2026.
Reporting to the Chief Building Official or designate, the incumbent will be expected to carry out a variety of tasks relating to various aspects of Building Department functions, such as but not limited to:
Employment is conditional upon attendance at all required training sessions, submission of required documentation/certification, adherence to the minimum age requirements and ability to meet the employment term.
At time of application must be enrolled in a post-secondary education institution or institution of higher learning.
Applicants must submit a criminal record check (dated within the last 3 months) from their local police service for approval prior to commencing employment.
Interviews will be held in the month of February 2026.
