Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a BIM Coordinator for our Mississauga, Ontario office. This is a new vacant position for which we are actively recruiting. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge. Essential Job Functions:
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering teams by developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities throughout project lifecycles.
  • Implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and support project teams in adhering to Tetra Tech BIM standards and client‑specific requirements.
  • Coordinate and review 3D models using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microstation and BIM 360, ensuring accurate interdisciplinary integration.
  • Perform clash detection, resolve coordination issues, and support design optimization across structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and technical support to internal teams on BIM best practices and tools.
  • Assist with content creation and management of BIM libraries, templates, and automation routines to enhance model efficiency and consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, design leads, and IT/BIM system administrators to streamline BIM workflows and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM coordination within engineering consulting or the AEC industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Microstation and BIM 360; knowledge of Civil 3D, Dynamo, or other BIM automation tools is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of multi‑discipline coordination and the design process in infrastructure, energy, or utility projects.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards such as ISO 19650, AIA E203, and LOD specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit or stand as required and remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, including continuous operation of a computer and other standard office equipment such as calculators, copiers, and printers.
  • The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting.
  • Periodic travel may be required and could involve limited exposure to extreme temperatures. Travel may include air travel, during which the employee may be required to remain seated for extended periods.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $120,000.
