About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 08

This position is fully remote, and we welcome applications from qualified candidates located anywhere within Canada. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the invoicing and accounts receivable collection process. This role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and assist with accounts receivable collections. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hard-working, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in invoice creation and the customer order-to-cash process to ensure accurate invoices are created based on contract language and are delivered to customers timely.
  • Assisting in collection process alongside a dedicated accounts receivable collections team member to ensure that invoices are collected.
  • Tracking and reporting off various metrics surrounding invoicing, customer discounts, and collections.

Issue Resolution: Proactively resolve billing issues and escalate complex matters appropriately.

Ad-Hoc Projects: Assisting in various ad-hoc projects and process improvements as needed.

Who you are
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Salesforce (or similar CRM tools)
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter needing minimum supervision once trained
  • Team Player able to work independently
  • Willingness to support end of month-end increased workflow
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education & Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in related role - with accounting background/education preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth or SaaS environment preferred
