Position Overview
The Bilingual Quality Control Specialist supports Learning Services by performing detailed testing and review of instructional materials to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency. Working on an as-and-when required basis, the resource will verify eLearning and instructor-led training (ILT) deliverables in English and French to confirm alignment with client-approved standards, guidelines, and project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Test eLearning and ILT programs to verify compliance with client-approved pre-projects, instructional standards, guidelines, precisions, and scenarios.
- Test eLearning for interactivity, functionality, and programming errors.
- Verify grammatical and spelling accuracy in English and French (or both languages, as required).
- Ensure consistency of learning products in presentation and style, including colors, fonts, formats, architecture, navigation strategy, modularization, and consistency between the English and French versions (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with guidelines, conventions, taxonomies, and best practices for metadata usage.
- Review eLearning for alignment with the approved Storyboard and Prototype.
- Review for alignment between English and French versions.
- For French learning products, validate alignment to client-provided French translations.
- Conduct regression reviews to confirm all internal and client comments have been implemented accurately.
- Verify compliance with SCORM in an approved LMS/LCMS test medium.
- Test eLearning programs to ensure full functionality in the client’s LMS/LCMS environment.
- Record and report results of all QA interventions, making them available to the technical authority.
Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (English and French), with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Experience testing and validating eLearning and ILT products.
- Familiarity with SCORM standards and Learning Management Systems (LMS/LCMS).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and document errors or inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of instructional design standards, accessibility, and metadata best practices considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and on an as-needed basis to meet project timelines.
- Must have experience working with paper-based products (Storyboards, Leader’s Guides, Participant Workbooks, Audio Scripts etc) and digital products (eLearning, Videos, Interactive PDFs).
- Expertise in MS Office suite of products.
- Previous experience as a Technical Writer considered an asset.

- Must be a Canadian citizen.
- Must be comfortable working in Eastern Time Zone hours.
