A leading health and well-being provider in Montreal is seeking a Business Analyst to manage pension calculations and software configurations. The ideal candidate has a degree in actuarial science or finance, 5+ years of experience, and is bilingual in French and English. The role includes analyzing client needs, providing customer support, and ensuring effective software integration. The business analyst is responsible for configuring the internal software, as well as analyzing and resolving common issues experienced by clients following implementation. They will receive guidance from implementation managers as needed, but must be able to establish priorities and resolve problems independently or as part of a team.

To succeed, the business analyst must be able to effectively manage problem resolution by providing clear explanations of issues and a path to their resolution; they must also possess strong skills in technology, communication, and problem-solving.
Perform detailed analysis of our clients' pension plan calculation rules
Act as the link between the client and the project team in terms of pension plan calculations
Configure the in-house software to suit the specifics of the client's pension plan
Write specifications according to the needs and requests of the clients regarding new developments of the software
Ensure the proper integration of the software with other software that will be implemented for the client
Participate in the development of the specific testing strategy for the software configuration and new developments
Participate in the review of test scenarios with the selection criteria required by the plan
Provide support to the quality assurance team
Collaborate in the development of the software by providing suggestions for improvement to the responsible team
Once the implementation is complete, provide customer service to users to ensure effective management of the software
University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or finance
5+ years’ experience in an appropriate field
Bilingual in French and English, verbal and written
Experience in pension plans calculations
Ability to understand and use current computer technologies and a good knowledge of Excel software
Recognized, among other things, for analytical and summarizing skills, sense of organization and flexibility in terms of managing multiple projects
Good initiative and problem solving skills
Ability to work both as a team and independently
Ability to establish priorities and meet timelines
Available for occasional travel (Canada, US)
